ABOUT

About this spot

"Sunshine 60 Observatory Tenboh Park," which offers views of Tokyo's cityscape from 251 meters above sea level, is a completely new style of observation facility that reopened in 2023. Its concept is "a place to spend time like in a park, 365 days a year." Inside, soft flooring resembling real grass spreads out, and you are surrounded by seasonal plants and pleasant scents. It is favored by a wide range of visitors, from families with small children to solo travelers who want to gaze slowly at the view and couples who want to spend calm time away from the urban bustle. During the day it is an open space with views as far as Mt. Fuji and Mt. Tsukuba, but at night it changes to a mature atmosphere where you can enjoy Tokyo's glittering night view. At the in-house "Tenboh Park CAFE," you can enjoy limited-edition menu items inspired by the sky and carefully selected coffee. As an indoor spot that is comfortable even on rainy days, it is a classic must-see when sightseeing in Ikebukuro.
