ABOUT

About this spot

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building towers over Nishi-Shinjuku. The observatory on the 45th floor of its Main Building No. 1 is beloved as a "must-see classic" of Tokyo sightseeing. From 202 meters above ground, you can enjoy a grand panorama taking in Tokyo Skytree, Tokyo Tower, and even distant Mt. Fuji. The greatest attraction is, above all, being able to enjoy this superb view for "free." During the day you can feel the vitality of the vast city, and at night a dazzling night view spreads out as if studded with jewels. The building also has a cafe and shop, so spending relaxed time while gazing at the view is also recommended. With direct access from Tochomae Station and within walking distance of Shinjuku Station, it is enjoyable in any situation, from sightseeing with friends to dates, solo refreshment, and family outings. Why not look down on the city of Tokyo from the sky and experience the grandeur of its scale once again?
