ABOUT

About this spot

Rising in Sumida Ward, Tokyo Skytree is now a symbol of Tokyo and one of the tallest towers in the world. At 634 m (a height that echoes "Musashi," the old name of the region), it commands an overwhelming presence from almost anywhere in the city. From the Tembo Deck, 350 m above the ground, you can enjoy a sweeping 360-degree panorama that, on clear days, stretches all the way to Mt. Fuji. A commemorative photo on the thrilling "Glass Floor," which lets you see right down beneath your feet, is a must! Higher still, at 450 m, the Tembo Galleria is a popular spot where you walk along a tube-shaped glass corridor and feel as if you are strolling through the sky. After dark, lighting that changes its theme from day to day paints Tokyo's night view in beautiful colors. Tokyo Solamachi, with an aquarium, a planetarium and more than 300 shops, is right next door, so families, couples and solo travelers alike can enjoy a full day here. Shopping, dining and spectacular views are all in one place at this leading Tokyo landmark. Be sure to pay it a visit.
