About this spot
Completed in 1954 as Japan's first integrated broadcasting tower, this Important Cultural Property is a landmark of Nagoya. In 2020 it reopened as the Chubu Electric Power MIRAI TOWER, and with seismic reinforcement it has evolved into an even more appealing destination. From the Sky Deck, an indoor observation deck 90 meters above ground, you can enjoy a 360-degree panorama stretching from Mt. Ontake and the Central Alps in the north to Nagoya Port in the south. The night view in particular has been selected as a Japan Night View Heritage site, and the cityscape spread out like scattered jewels is spectacular. It is also a very popular date spot. Inside the tower are THE TOWER HOTEL NAGOYA, the world's first hotel inside a tower, along with a restaurant with views over the city and a stylish cafe. Combine your visit with a stroll or some shopping in Hisaya-odori Park at the tower's feet. It is a great spot whether you want to relax on your own or have a lively time with family and friends.
