About this spot

Artizon Museum is a private art museum in Kyobashi, Chuo Ward, Tokyo, run by the Ishibashi Foundation. Its name combines the words art and horizon. It was renamed in 2019 from the Bridgestone Museum of Art and reopened in January 2020 inside the Kyobashi Museum Tower. The museum grew out of the collection of Shojiro Ishibashi, founder of Bridgestone, and first opened in 1952. Its holdings center on Western art and modern Japanese painting, with works by artists such as Renoir, Monet, Cezanne, Van Gogh, Picasso and Matisse, and now also include classical and contemporary art. According to the official site, the museum is open 10:00 to 18:00 (until 20:00 on Fridays) and closed on Mondays, with timed-entry reservations. It is about a 5-minute walk from Tokyo Station (Yaesu Central Exit) and Kyobashi Station on the Ginza Line. There is no parking.
