ABOUT
About this spot
Located in northern Awaji Island, Awaji Hanasajiki is a flower paradise that stretches from an elevation of about 298 meters toward the sea, and is one of Hyogo's most iconic flower destinations. The expansive grounds of about 15 hectares are covered with a carpet of flowers throughout the year, overwhelming visitors. You can enjoy different colors in each season: rape blossoms and poppies in spring, cleome and sunflowers in summer, cosmos in autumn, and stock in winter. Flowers swaying against the blue sky and sea create a panoramic view truly worthy of the name "Garden in the Sky." There is also an observation deck in the park, popular as a scenic spot with views as far as the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge and Kansai International Airport. Free admission is another welcome point, so you can casually drop by for any occasion, whether a family picnic, a date, or a solo trip focused on photography. The shops and cafe sell local specialties and regional soft serve ice cream, so a rest after your stroll is part of the fun. Why not spend a soothing, refreshing time feeling the rich nature of Awaji Island and the pleasant sea breeze?
