ABOUT

About this spot

Shimizu Park in Noda City, Chiba Prefecture, is one of Japan's leading comprehensive leisure parks, themed on coexistence with nature. Its biggest draw is the Field Athletics, among the largest in Japan. With 100 different obstacles, the thrilling water courses are a popular activity that even adults can enjoy in earnest. It is ideal for those who want to make up for a lack of exercise and for groups of friends who want an active day off. The park also has Hana Fantasia, where seasonal flowers bloom, including cherry trees selected as one of Japan's 100 Best Cherry Blossom Spots, as well as azaleas and roses. It is recommended for leisurely strolls for visitors in their 50s and 60s and for dates. In addition, it offers a barbecue area where you can come empty-handed, a campground, a pony ranch, and a rainbow trout fishing pond. There are so many facilities that you can't enjoy them all in a single day. With easy access, about an hour from central Tokyo, it is a spot where you can enjoy nature in any style, from solo refreshment to a lively family trip.
