ABOUT
About this spot
The Toyota Kaikan in Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture, is a museum where you can experience through all five senses the "future of the car" envisioned by Toyota, one of Japan's leading companies and a name known around the world. Inside, display corners show the latest models lined up in rows, and the big draw is that you can get into the driver's seat and try out their latest features for yourself. The exhibits are wide-ranging, covering environmental technologies such as electrification, safety technologies, the future of mobility, and social contribution activities, with videos, displays, and hands-on content designed to spark the curiosity of adults and children alike. There are also corners that explain Toyota's vehicle production process with videos and models, so you can learn the depth of manufacturing. Admission is free and no reservation is required (* factory tours require a separate reservation), making it ideal for a weekend drive, a family trip, or a solo educational visit. The shop also sells original goods available nowhere else, and it is one of Aichi's top sightseeing spots, worth a visit even if you are not a car enthusiast.
