ABOUT
About this spot
The Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology is a highly engaging museum built on the former site of a factory where the Toyota Group once made automatic looms. The spacious building is divided into two main halls, the Textile Machinery Pavilion and the Automobile Pavilion, and its beautiful red-brick structure conveys a sense of history. In the Textile Machinery Pavilion, automatic looms invented by Sakichi Toyoda are lined up, and staff demonstrations let you feel the liveliness of the era. In the Automobile Pavilion, Toyota's path of craftsmanship, from early prototypes to the latest modern technology, is displayed with actual vehicles and moving models. In particular, the demonstrations of the giant press machine and robots recreating the car manufacturing process are overwhelmingly powerful. There is also Techno Land, where children can learn scientific principles through play, and it is very popular with families. Because you can spend time comfortably indoors, adults and children can enjoy it all day regardless of the weather. With good access from Nagoya Station, it is also ideal for solo trips and sightseeing with friends.
