ABOUT

About this spot

Ikoma Sanjo Amusement Park, at the summit of Mt. Ikoma at 642 meters above sea level, is an amusement park that has been loved by many since opening in 1929. Its greatest attraction is, above all, its overwhelming view. On a clear day, a 360-degree panorama opens up over Osaka Bay, the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, and the Nara Basin. The park has a nostalgic "Showa retro" atmosphere, with a variety of attractions from rides small children can enjoy safely to a cycle monorail that lets you take an aerial stroll while enjoying the view. Because admission is free, it is also recommended to visit for a stroll or picnic focused on the scenery. The "Ikoma Cable" used for access is also a highlight. Known as Japan's oldest cable car, its cute cars with dog and cat motifs are very photogenic. On summer night-opening days, you can enjoy a "million dollar night view" like scattered jewels, and it is also very popular as a date spot for adults.
