Gokatsura-ike Animal Park, located in Gokatsura-ike Furusato Village, grand-opened in June 2024 and is a soothing spot where you can get up close with animals in rich natural surroundings. Its greatest charm is, above all, the "astonishing closeness" to the animals. Home to capybaras, alpacas, sheep and more, it offers daily petting events and feeding experiences that delight everyone from small children to adults, who lose track of time. There are no flashy large-scale attractions, but the park's calm pace makes it perfect for a weekend break to refresh and leave the daily bustle behind. Within Furusato Village you will also find a produce stand with fresh local vegetables and "Mago no Mise," nationally famous as a restaurant run by high school students.
