ABOUT
About this spot
Yokoyama Observatory, a signature scenic spot of Ise-Shima National Park, offers a panoramic view of Ago Bay, famous as a ria coast. The view from 140 meters above sea level is simply breathtaking, with more than 60 large and small islands and a calm sea dotted with pearl rafts. The contrast of blue sea and green, which changes with the season and time of day, continues to captivate visitors. In 2018 it reopened as the "Yokoyama Tenku Cafe Terrace." From the wooden deck, with its warm feel of wood, you can enjoy an open panoramic view. At the attached cafe, we recommend a luxurious tea time with soft serve ice cream and drinks made with local ingredients. The walking paths are well maintained, and you can also enjoy a light hike visiting several observation terraces. Barrier-free slopes are also provided, so everyone from families with small children to seniors can enjoy the view with peace of mind. As a weekend drive or the main attraction of sightseeing in Shima, why not come enjoy this soul-cleansing view with someone special?
