ABOUT

About this spot

Kids Plaza Osaka in Kita Ward, Osaka City, is a hands-on facility that aims to help children learn through play and nurture their creativity. The museum offers a rich array of exhibits that stimulate intellectual curiosity, such as the "Try-It Floor" with mysterious science experiences and the "Unusual Floor" for learning about world cultures and how society works. Particularly eye-catching is the giant "Children's Town" spanning the 4th and 5th floors. Designed by the Austrian artist Hundertwasser, its original design lets you enjoy maze-like corridors and slides with your whole body. There are also plenty of career-experience corners, including a television studio where you can try making a real news program and a supermarket where you can try shopping. As a fully indoor facility, it is a popular Osaka spot where families can enjoy a whole day regardless of the weather.
