The Suita Brewery, birthplace of Asahi Breweries, began operations in 1891. Symbolized by its retro red-brick buildings that retain the look of history, it is one of Osaka's leading factory tour spots. On the tour, you learn about beer making through the five senses, such as touching hops and malt, the main ingredients of beer, and watching up close the spectacular packaging process that fills thousands of cans per minute. There are also exhibits using the latest video technology, so everyone from adults to children can enjoy it without getting bored. And the biggest treat is the tasting time after the tour. The freshness and crispness of "Asahi Super Dry," poured by professionals in the best condition, is a luxurious experience unique to a factory tour. Soft drinks are available for those who do not drink alcohol and for children. The attached shop also sells limited-edition goods, making it a perfect holiday outing with friends or family.
