About this spot

Gunma Safari Park in Tomioka City, Gunma Prefecture, is one of northern Kanto's largest safari parks, where you can experience the natural forms of wild animals up close. The vast park is divided into several areas, such as the 'Africa Zone' and the 'Fierce Animal Zone,' and you can enter in your own car or on a safari bus. The breath of lions and tigers approaching your window and the sight of elephants and giraffes walking at ease are truly spectacular. On the especially popular 'Feeding Experience Bus,' you can enjoy the rare experience of giving raw meat to lions. The park is also known for introducing white tigers to Japan for the first time, and their beautiful appearance has charmed many visitors. In the Walking Safari Zone, you can get out of your car to meet deer and llamas, and watch the soothing sight of capybaras. With an amusement park and restaurant on site, it is ideal for families, and also for drive dates with friends or couples. Why not step into the wild world full of thrills and wonder, leaving everyday life behind?
