ABOUT

About this spot

Surrounded by the rich nature of the Noto Peninsula, Notojima Aquarium is one of Ishikawa Prefecture's leading leisure spots, enjoyable all day by adults and children alike. The biggest highlight is "Whale Shark Hall: The World of Blue," where whale sharks swim leisurely. Gazing at one of the largest tanks on the Sea of Japan side gives you a magical experience as if you were in the sea. The dynamic "Dolphin and Sea Lion Show" is also a must-see. The lively performances are hugely popular with families and couples. There are also plenty of hands-on exhibits where you can watch penguins on their walk up close and touch sea creatures directly. Walking through the tunnel tank that recreates the sea of Noto, schools of colorful fish pass overhead. Whether you want to be quietly soothed alone or have a lively weekend with friends, this place, where you can fully feel the charm of the Noto sea, gives you new discoveries and emotions every time you visit.
