Ishiuchi Maruyama Ski Resort is a long-established snow resort in Minamiuonuma City, Niigata Prefecture, easily accessible from the Kanto region. Its vast slopes, with 23 courses in all, offer variety to satisfy everyone from beginners to experts. The area's largest-scale night skiing is especially popular as a date spot, letting you look down on the night view of the Uonuma Basin from beautifully illuminated slopes. In recent years the resort has added the state-of-the-art combination lift "Sunrise Express" and the "Snow Garden," where even non-skiers can enjoy snowy mountain scenery. At spots such as the observation terrace cafe, you can spend a relaxing time over café menu items.
