ABOUT

About this spot

Spreading across the foot of Mt. Myoko, a famous peak in Niigata, Myoko Suginohara Ski Resort is a snow resort with an overwhelming sense of scale. Its biggest attraction is the long course, with a vertical drop of 1,124 m among the top in Japan and a longest run of 8.5 km. The variety ranges from wide courses where even beginners can ski comfortably to ungroomed areas that impress advanced skiers, so skiers of any level can enjoy a full day without getting bored. On clear days, a grand panorama opens up, taking in Mt. Fuji, Lake Nojiri, and the mountains of the Hokushinetsu region, with exceptional beauty. The "Prince Kids Free Program" makes lift tickets free for elementary school students and younger, making it ideal for family trips. The snow park "Sugi Park" is well equipped with features and is hugely popular with students and young people who love freestyle. After skiing, we recommend relaxing at the nearby Myoko Kogen Onsen area. Whether you ski with discipline on your own or cruise with friends enjoying the scenery, be sure to experience the superb powder snow and overwhelming sense of freedom.
