ABOUT

About this spot

Located inside LaLaport in Toyosu, KidZania Tokyo is an indoor job-experience theme park where children aged 3 to 15 can try about 100 kinds of occupations. The town is about two-thirds the size of the real thing and realistically recreates a cityscape with a fire station, bank, TV station, police station, and more. Children choose the pavilions they like, put on authentic uniforms, and experience the work. When they finish, they receive the park's own currency, "Kidzo," as pay, and by shopping, or by depositing it in the bank and getting a debit card, they learn about how society and the economy work while having fun. Adults cannot enter the pavilions, but can watch their children working seriously through the glass or on monitors. Being an all-weather facility, you can enjoy it without worrying about the weather, making it ideal for family memories. It operates in two completely separate sessions (Session 1 and Session 2), and online reservations in advance are recommended to experience popular activities efficiently. It is an edutainment (education + entertainment) spot that blends education and fun and nurtures children's independence and sense of responsibility.
