ABOUT

About this spot

Shin-Enoshima Aquarium (nicknamed "Enosui") is an aquarium themed around Sagami Bay, which stretches out right in front of it, and is designed to be enjoyed with all five senses. The main highlight is the "Sagami Bay Grand Aquarium," a faithful recreation of the bay's environment. The sight of about 8,000 Japanese sardines swimming in schools is truly awe-inspiring. The "Jellyfish Fantasy Hall," said to be one of the most beautiful jellyfish exhibits in the world, offers a soothing time with enchanting lighting effects. At the outdoor Dolphin Show Stadium, you can enjoy the dynamic performances of the dolphins in a superb location overlooking the Shonan sea, Enoshima, and, on clear days, Mt. Fuji. With excellent barrier-free facilities, it is recommended for a wide range of visitors, from families with small children and couples on a date to seniors who want to take it easy. Easy to stop by while sightseeing in Enoshima and enjoyable whatever the weather, it is a timeless classic of the Shonan area.
