ABOUT

About this spot

Perched at the summit of Enoshima, the island floating off the Shonan coast, the Enoshima Sea Candle commands the island as its landmark with undeniable presence. The observation deck offers a sweeping 360-degree panorama. On a clear day you can see majestic Mt. Fuji, the Tanzawa Mountains, and even the distant Izu Peninsula. Dusk is especially recommended. When the sky shifts from orange to deep blue during the magic hour, the view is breathtaking. In winter, one of the largest illumination displays in the Kanto region, known as the "Jewel of Shonan," lights up the island and wraps you in a magical world of light that has even been certified as a Japan Night View Heritage site. At the foot of the tower, Enoshima Samuel Cocking Garden showcases seasonal flowers throughout the year. It is a great choice for a date, a family outing, or a refreshing solo trip. Feel the sea breeze and take in one of Shonan's finest panoramic views.
