ABOUT
About this spot
This park spreads across the summit of Mt. Baijo, about 400 m above sea level, with a panoramic view of the Mikata Five Lakes, one of Fukui Prefecture's signature scenic spots. You reach the summit by lift or cable car, and beautiful lake views open up even on the way up. The park has five distinctive terraces scattered throughout. In particular, the panoramic view of the Mikata Five Lakes and the Sea of Japan while soaking in the footbath at the "Mihama Terrace" is spectacular. There is also a rose garden that hosts a rose fair in spring and autumn, a "kawarake-nage" (clay disc throwing) for wishing for happiness, and a Lovers' Sanctuary spot, so everyone from couples and families to solo travelers can enjoy it. The changing colors of the lakes through the seasons and the sun setting over the Sea of Japan are breathtakingly beautiful. It is the perfect place to feel the pleasant breeze and refresh in a refined space.
