Shibamasa World, located on Fukui's beautiful coastline, is one of Japan's largest theme parks, with a total area of 600,000 square meters. Its biggest feature is its excellent location overlooking the Sea of Japan. On the vast green lawn, you can enjoy putting golf and camping while feeling the pleasant sea breeze. In summer, one of Japan's largest pool areas opens, and many tourists from across the country gather for thrilling attractions including "The Monster Slider," the world's first giant slider. The year-round amusement park area offers classic attractions such as go-karts and Viking ships as well as the indoor "Kids Paradise," so even families with small children can relax. It satisfies every demographic, from active groups of friends who want to play all out, to seniors who want to enjoy superb views at leisure, to families who want to play all day. Illuminations are sometimes held at night depending on the season, so it is also very popular as a date spot.
