Echizen Matsushima Aquarium is a "hands-on" aquarium with a superb location facing the Sea of Japan. Its biggest attraction is the "Sea of Coral" in the "Marine Hall." The floor is entirely see-through reinforced glass, giving you the strange sensation of walking over colorful tropical fish and coral, as if floating on the surface of the sea. It is also very popular as a photo spot that looks great on social media. In addition, events where you can see the animals' lovable ways up close are held every day, such as dolphin shows and penguin walks. There are also seal-feeding experiences and corners where you can touch giant octopuses and doctor fish directly, with ideas for enjoying it with all five senses scattered throughout. Though a long-established aquarium, it offers a wealth of new exhibits and experience programs, making it ideal for weekend family trips as well as making memories with friends or dates.
