ABOUT
About this spot
Daisen Makiba Milk no Sato is a wonderfully open ranch spreading across the foot of Mt. Daisen, the symbol of Tottori Prefecture. The must-have here is the special soft serve, made with plenty of freshly squeezed raw milk. Rich and full-bodied yet clean on the finish, it is so popular that lines form on weekends. From the grounds you get an overwhelming view of the rugged north face of Mt. Daisen and, in good weather, all the way to the Yumigahama Peninsula and the Sea of Japan. At the restaurant you can enjoy "Milk no Sato Nabe," a hot pot made with plenty of fresh milk, and barbecue, a true treasure trove of food. The sight of cows relaxing on the spacious lawn is perfect for easing everyday fatigue. Workshops such as cowbell painting and butter-making are plentiful, so families, friends and couples can all make memorable moments here.
