ABOUT
About this spot
Tottori Hanakairo, the pride of Tottori Prefecture, is one of Japan's largest flower parks, spread across a vast 50-hectare site. At its heart stands the Flower Dome, a giant glass greenhouse 50 meters in diameter and 21 meters high, where you can admire tropical plants and rare lilies all year round. The park's greatest feature is the 1-km Observation Corridor that loops around the grounds. Because it is roofed, you can enjoy the flowers and the majestic views of Mt. Daisen without getting wet, even on rainy days. Tulips in spring, lilies in summer, cosmos in autumn, and in winter the Moonlight Flower Garden (one of Japan's largest night gardens), where around 14,000 lights adorn the grounds, make every visit full of fresh appeal. The Flower Train, which rolls leisurely through the park, is hugely popular with families with children and seniors alike. For couples, girls' trips, and solo travelers looking to be soothed by nature, this is a Tottori sightseeing classic we recommend with confidence.
