ABOUT
About this spot
Kaike Onsen is a leading San'in hot spring facing the Sea of Japan, known as a beautiful "beauty hot spring." A rare "salt spring," it is said to have begun in 1900 (Meiji 33) when a fisherman discovered bubbles welling up in the sea. Rich in minerals, it is characterized by high heat-retaining and moisturizing effects. Your body stays warm after bathing, and skin-beautifying effects that delight women can also be expected. In front of you spreads the Yumigahama coastline, selected as one of "Japan's Top 100 White Sand and Green Pine Coasts," with seasonal pleasures such as swimming in summer and the famous matsuba crab in winter. Free foot bath spots are also dotted around the hot spring town, so you can stroll leisurely in the sea breeze. The majestic form of Mount Daisen National Park seen from here, and the sunset sinking into the Sea of Japan, are truly spectacular. It is also ideal for a date as a couple, a girls' trip with friends, or a refreshing trip to heal body and mind alone. Its convenient location close to the Yonago city center, as a base for San'in sightseeing, is another appeal. Why not spend a blissful time at an inn of heartwarming hospitality?
