ABOUT
About this spot
Nokonoshima floats in the middle of Hakata Bay. Nokonoshima Island Park, spreading across its northern tip, is a soothing spot that lets you forget the bustle of the city. On its vast grounds of about 150,000 square meters, colorful flowers bloom throughout the year: canola flowers in spring, sunflowers in summer, cosmos in autumn and narcissus in winter. The panorama of flower fields spreading against the blue sky and sea in particular captivates many visitors as one of Fukuoka's signature views. The park has "Omoide Street," recreating a townscape from the early Showa period, where you can browse nostalgic candy and folk crafts. There are also the original sport "Nokonoko Ball," pottery and painting experiences, and corners to pet rabbits and goats, so adults and children can have fun all day. You can try the local "Noko udon," or stay at the campsite and cottages, so there are many ways to enjoy it. Whether for a family holiday, a date with someone special, or a solo trip as a treat to yourself, why not cross over by boat?
