Marine World Uminonakamichi, a leading leisure spot in Fukuoka, was fully renovated in 2017 under the theme "the Sea of Kyushu," evolving into a more stylish and immersive space. The main highlight is the "Dolphin and Sea Lion Show" held at the show pool against the backdrop of Hakata Bay. In this open location you can witness powerful jumps right before your eyes. In the huge atrium-style "Kyushu Open Ocean" tank, the sand tiger shark, a rare sight in Japan, circles, and its presence is sure to overwhelm you. Inside there is also a restaurant where you can dine while watching dolphins swim, perfect for dates, family trips and sightseeing with friends. Adult-oriented events such as the seasonal evening opening "Aquarium at Night" are also plentiful.
