ABOUT
About this spot
Jogasaki Coast is a magnificent stretch of sheer cliffs about 9 km long, formed when lava that flowed into the sea during the eruption of Mt. Omuro about 4,000 years ago was carved by wave erosion. The biggest highlight is the "Kadowaki Suspension Bridge," 48 meters long and 23 meters high. You can look down at the rough waves crashing below your feet, for a thrilling and powerful experience. From Kadowaki Lighthouse, right near the bridge, you can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view overlooking the Izu Seven Islands and the Amagi mountains. Along the coast, walking trails such as the "Picnica Course" and the "Nature Study Path" are maintained, ideal for hiking while looking at native plants and uniquely shaped strange rocks. It is a perfect spot for a solo trip to refresh yourself away from city bustle while listening to the waves, as well as for trips with friends and family and dates. Please experience the dynamic beauty of nature's forms.
