ABOUT

About this spot

Yoro Falls in Yoro Town, Gifu Prefecture, is a historic sightseeing attraction that has long been loved. The most famous story is the "filial piety legend," in which water drawn by a dutiful son turned into delicious sake. The falls, the setting of the legend, flow down the rock face from a height of about 30 m, and their power and refreshing coolness captivate visitors. The promenade to the falls is wrapped in cherry blossoms in spring, cool fresh green in summer, and vivid autumn foliage, so you can enjoy a different face all year round, which is a great charm. The path has a slight incline, but strolling while listening to the pleasant murmur of the stream is also ideal for getting some exercise and refreshing. The nearby "Site of Reversible Destiny," where you can have strange experiences, and "Yoro Park," with its wide lawn plazas, are also adjacent, making this area perfect for a healing solo trip as well as holiday outings with friends or family. Near the falls, relaxing with the local specialty "Yoro Cider" or "grilled dango" is also recommended. Why not forget everyday life and detox both body and mind in this place where you can feel nature's energy with your whole body?
