ABOUT

About this spot

Flower Park Kagoshima, at the southernmost tip of the Satsuma Peninsula, is a botanical park covering one of the largest areas in Japan. On its vast grounds of about 36.5 hectares, subtropical plants from around the world and seasonal flowers bloom, and as soon as you step in you can enjoy a tropical feeling. The park is divided by theme, with a series of photogenic scenes such as a tall large greenhouse and gardens where flowers spread out against the backdrop of Mount Kaimon. The observation corridor in particular offers a grand panorama where you can see the contrast between the blue sea and Mount Kaimon, and even as far as Yakushima in the distance. It is ideal for weekend family picnics, girls' trips with friends, dates with a loved one, and quiet solo strolls. In winter, a fantastical illumination is also held, making it a place that soothes the five senses in any season. Why not spend a luxurious, leisurely time in colorful nature, feeling the pleasant sea breeze?
