ABOUT

About this spot

Hado Misaki is part of the Genkai Quasi-National Park and is a leading scenic spot in Saga Prefecture, offering a view of a beautiful ria coast and the vast sea. The heart-shaped object of the "Sanctuary of Lovers" project on the north side of the cape is hugely popular as a photo spot, with smiles never ending among couples and friends visiting. We especially recommend the "Genkai Underwater Observation Tower" for families with children. Descend to 7 meters below sea level inside the tower connected by a pier, and beyond the windows you can see wild fish swimming leisurely, giving the thrill of strolling through a natural aquarium. Also not to be missed here is the famous "Sazae no Tsubo-yaki" (grilled turban shells) cooked by local mothers. The fragrant aroma of soy sauce and the fresh taste of the sea are exceptional and make your memories of Hado Misaki even deeper. Nearby are a campground and a swimming beach, so you can spend an active day all day long. Especially at dusk, the moment the setting sun over the horizon paints the entire cape orange is so beautiful it leaves you speechless. Please visit on a weekend drive or short trip.
