Matsue Vogel Park in Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture, is a flower and bird theme park rare even by world standards. The biggest highlight is the all-weather greenhouse, one of the largest in Japan. The moment you step inside, thousands of begonias and fuchsias hanging from the ceiling are in full bloom all year round, unfolding a beauty like another world. The park is fully barrier-free, with covered moving walkways and corridors, so you can tour comfortably without an umbrella even on rainy days. From the observation deck you can overlook Lake Shinji, registered under the Ramsar Convention, and enjoy the rich natural scenery.
