Located amid the vast nature of Nihonmatsu City in Fukushima Prefecture, Tohoku Safari Park is a thrilling, hands-on zoo where you drive through animals roaming freely in near-wild conditions. Many animals live here, from big cats such as lions and tigers to herbivores such as giraffes, zebras, and camels. Its greatest appeal is the overwhelming presence of animals appearing just beyond your window. In the herbivore area in particular, you can even feed them directly with special feed, and both adults and children are sure to be captivated by the power of animals swarming around your car. Another feature unique to this park is the chance to see rare white lions. Beyond the safari area, there are also facilities for families and friends, such as the "Petting Plaza" where you can interact with animals.
