ABOUT

About this spot

Set in Sengokuhara, Hakone, the Hakone Glass Forest Museum transports you the moment you step inside to a world of exotic charm, as if you had wandered into medieval Venice, Italy. The highlight is the crystal glass sculptures blooming in the garden. The "Corridor of Light," which shimmers in rainbow colors under the sunlight, and the crystal flowers that change their look with the seasons make for superb photo spots. With the dramatic scenery of Owakudani as a backdrop, you can enjoy fantastical views found nowhere else. Inside the museum, masterpieces of Venetian glass that captivated European nobility from the 15th to the 19th century are on display, and their delicate, gorgeous craftsmanship will take your breath away. There are also plenty of workshops, such as a sandblasting experience where you can make your very own original piece, making it a great place to create travel memories with family and friends. The cafe-restaurant, where you can dine while looking out over the garden, features live performances by artists from Japan and abroad. It is also a perfect spot for adults who want to forget everyday life and spend an elegant moment.
